The Winter of the Evolution of Style in Plus Size

It is January 1, 2021. It is cold in Albuquerque, New Mexico and a perfect time to start an adventure that does not call for traveling around outside in the cold. Although, I do have my cold weather wear available, it is not needed immediately. This well planned journey will start out in the winter of the evolution of style, and travel through all the seasons to circle back again and again, as this journey is never ending.

The adventure I have in mind is to go on a quest to live a more authentic life with the help of fashion. I decided to find and share with the many others who find themselves on the same journey. Living a more authentic life means knowing who you are and what you want. These are much more complicated discoveries than what they might seem at first glance. The evolution of style in plus size is long overdue.

The Perception of Loss

The first thing that is demanded, in this quest for a more authentic life, is the willingness to change. You cannot grow without change. This, I believe, is the biggest problem facing most of us. Can we decide a different course without losing something that once seemed valuable? I haven’t been able to do it. But the journey has always been worth it.

Plus, the things I’ve lost along the way, weren’t so valuable after all.

The secret to change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new

The Evolution of Style Through Archetypes

I seek to look at fashion as a way to evolve, to become a more wholly integrated person. A person who can put on the clothes of many personalities and live that persona for as long as we would like or as needed.

Inspiration can come from anywhere

I will look at archetypes of all kinds to see what they can teach us. What or will the dress of these archetypes embolden us to break through imposed boxes on our psyche or are we asking to much of fashion? This site is dedicated to this journey.

Style Nurtured in Self Love

We can learn to love ourselves more fully in order to love others more fully by seeking out the more that is inside of each of us. There is no question that many people on the earth today have brought the Light into the world in unmistakably new ways. This calls for a re-evaluation of everything (an evolution of style). How exciting it is to be witnessing evolution happening before our very eyes.

Fashion is the armor to survive everyday life.

What we are on the inside is often reflected on the outside; by our attitude, our fashion sense. What positives do we have inside that we have not yet unpacked. Let’s partner on this journey and find out together!
