What is the True Name of God?

What name does the true God of the Bible give us? Should we use that name or should we use a name that someone else tells us to use? What would be the problem with calling God by any name that we would wish to call Him? Could we use a pagan or heathen name?  Does God really care what we call him?

What Name is Above All Names

We are told that the true name of God should not be said. We are told that the true name of God has been lost. Some tell us to use a name for the True God that is not the name that God gave us. Some say there are many names for God. Yet there is only one name God gave us. That is the only name we should be using.

God told his people what his name is. His people, especially, should use it.

“And Moses said unto God. Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of you fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” Exodus 3:13-14.

Hidden in Plain Sight

I Am That I Am, the name of God, has been in the Bible all along. It was only hidden by those who would want us not to use that name. Have you noticed that your Bible teachers skip right over the name God gave us to use and another name is magnified?

The Most High God, Himself, did not hide his name from us. He wanted us to both know and say His name.

Below is a video that will breakdown who the true God of the Bible is and why we should use the name He gave us which is I Am That I Am. In Hebrew I Am That I Am is Ahayah Ashar Ahayah.
